Falesia di Riosecco Outdoor Rock Climbing Gym (Capovalle)

BRIEF DE SCRIPTION
A small isolated and relatively unknown section of smooth compact calcareous rock near the Riosecco Sanctuary (Capovalle).
This site was recently (2004-2005) discovered by Mario Ferretti (see Il Crénch for a short bibliography). Equipped from the base with 10mm bolts and featuring medium-low grade routes, this extremely peaceful site is ideal for anyone wishing to take up rock climbing.
The excellent route marking, signs and notice board were provided by Idro's Guppo Sentieri Attrezzati (Equipped Routes Group). Best climbed in summer, due to the altitude and north-east exposure. Altitude 1010 m.
ACCESS
At Pieve d'Idro turn off the SS 237 onto the SP 58 and follow the signs to Capovalle and Lago di Garda. At Km. 9.500 (see milestone), turn off right towards Treviso Bresciano and Coccaveglie. Drive 2.5 km along the winding road leading to the Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of Riosecco. Just past the sanctuary is an area where you can leave the car. On the right is the start of the marked path that leads down to the base of the climb (5 minutes).
